Injas Devoldere - Colorpolis - Artha 2026

Colorpolis is the result of ten years of visual research into colour, light, space and rhythm in cities both large and small. In his search, Injas Devoldere lets chance be his guide. What he sees, he finds by getting lost. He neither stages nor manipulates anything, but gathers images from the reality he encounters. In this way, he turns the street into a studio, where he paints without painting, or into a theatre set, where he stages a drama without staging it. He invites the viewer to slow down, to look longer—and differently.

Colorpolis is an exploration of the body of the city, at once abstract and passionate, rational and erotic, detached and poetic, sober and melancholic.

Texts by Johan De Boose, Stef Van Bellingen.
